Crazy Credits. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Of course I knew what they were. His grace, on the other hand, is His undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour. But I always knew that the two are somewhat related even though they are two entirely different things.
Rhythm and Grace - Song Lyrics
He so much loved us that He freely gave us the greatest Gift when we least deserved it. There was nothing that we could do to earn or merit Jesus, but God loved us so much that He undeservedly gave His Son to us at a time when we were the most unqualified for Him. He lavishes us with His grace because He boundlessly loves us. If God undeservedly gave us the greatest gift ever, His Son Jesus, what makes us think that we must merit every other lesser gift of His? What in the world are we doing thinking that God gave us His very best by grace but gives us all the other lesser blessings by performance?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? This is one Scripture that I had a hard time understanding, more specifically, the second part of it. I thought He gave us Jesus once for all!
